About Versiti

Versiti is a fusion of donors, scientific curiosity, and precision medicine that recognize the gifts of blood and life are precious. We are passionate about improving the lives of patients and helping our healthcare partners thrive. We see 800 blood donors daily, collect 300,000 units annually, and distribute to more than 50 hospitals to meet the blood services needs in Wisconsin. 

The mission of Versiti Organ and Tissue is to save and enhance lives through organ and tissue donation. We work to ensure that every organ and tissue donation opportunity is realized through effective collaboration with and support for donor families, our communities, and donation partners. 

Versiti Organ and Tissue is a federally designated organ procurement organization supporting the transplant community in southeastern Wisconsin. We recover organs for transplant while educating both public and medical professionals about the tremendous need for organ and tissue donors. We are guided by an advisory board that includes members from the community and affiliated transplant centers. The network serves 37 critical care hospitals and 3 transplant centers for a population of 2.3 million people in a 12-county region.

Versiti provides tissue services to the state of Wisconsin. We are regulated by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) and accredited by the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB). We serve nearly 600 donor families annually.
